Override lets you enter a conversation at a busy station or ring a station with Do Not Disturb activated. Before you enter the conversation, all parties receive a repetitive warning tone.
NOTE: The Tone Demonstration gives only the initial single burst portion of the Override Tone. The actual tone applied when Override is used is a repetitive tone.
You cannot Override:
a station on Hold
a station with a call on Consultation Hold
a station in a Conference Call involved in an inter-switch call (that is, if one member is on a different switch)
a station in an off-hook dialing situation or receiving a tone
a call in which Privacy is activated
a call in which a member has Busy Override Security
a busy Hunt group
a busy multicall group
some trunks (depending on the COS)
XNET trunks.
A switchhook flash at a station which is being overridden is ignored.
If you are using paging equipment when someone makes a connection with Override, you will be disconnected from the equipment.
The party performing the override cannot manipulate the existing connection in any manner.
On attendant consoles, the external party indicated in the Source (SRC) area does not hear the override warning tone.
To override IP trunks, Travelling Class Mark (TCM) must be enabled on both nodes.
Enable Executive Busy Override for the overriding station.
(Optional) Set "Disable Executive Busy Override Tone" to "Yes" to disable the tone that all parties in a call hear when a user initiates Executive Busy Override.
Disable "Busy Override Security" for the station that will be overridden.
Enable DND Override - Allowed for the overriding station.

(Optional) Enable DND Override - Automatic for the overriding station.
